The scandal involving Mark Foley (R-Fla) and his predilection for pedophiliac IMs doesn't have a -gate name yet. All Washington scandals should have a -gate name. Also, I never made a poll before.

What should this scandal be called?

Pervgate

Edit: Wonkette is calling it "PageFuckergate" which may just blow any of my ideas out of the water.

Pagegate

...is what the media has been calling it.

So far, there is no evidence that he actually touched any of the pages -- just sent inappropriate words. Emphasis on so far. Gosh, thinking about what gets posted on LiveJournal....hmmm, I.

So, why don't Republicans use bookmarks?

Because they like to bend over pages.

Re: Pagegate

Just because he didn't manage to get any when he was trying to doesn't absolve him, it just makes him ugly.

Re: Pagegate

I'm assuming that he wasn't trying to get anything physical from pages who left town. I think he just wanted salacious talk over the web with a minor. I agree that even if that is the whole of it, it is sick and ugly.

It is even sicker and uglier to decide that retaining control of the house was more important than ending the situation. I wonder why the FBI didn't investigate when they got the complaint. I don't wonder about Hastert.
