The '80s were pretty terrifying.

I myself was terrified throughout a good portion of them. But I digress. Here is a list of terrifyingly inspirational rock songs of the '80s. God knows I am not a fan of this kind of music, and I think that the ‘power ballad,’ one of the ‘80s gifts to us ranks at about the same level as plantar warts on the unpleasantness scale.
That said, there is something to the rock-anthem-ness of these songs, and something even a little refreshing about the complete and utter lack of irony with which they were written and performed. As this site observes regarding Bon Jovi, “...when he throws up his fist and says he’s seen a million faces and rocked them all, we believe him. We want to spend the rest of our lives rocking faces.”
Selah.

I may have to start saying that until everyone gets sick of it and tells me to stop.

That icon is both disturbing and wicked funny. Ah, the gemini in me strikes again.

Despite my unwavering love for Queen and Pat Benatar, that list is still pretty damn funny.
