The subtle laundry dance

One of the most difficult parts of the apartment dweller’s existence is the complicated and subtle act of taking someone else’s laundry from the washer when the time has run out, they have left it in, and you need to do laundry. You have to do it, but you don’t want to get caught not because you are doing anything wrong, but because you just don’t want to face a neighbor while you are touching their underwear unbidden.

That is a slippery slope, I agree.

The mystery deepens, though. I went down to put it in the dryer, and the wet laundry was gone entirely. I thought they might put it in the dryer, and I would have to wait, or that they wouldn't have come down to the laundry room at all yet. But it seems that they came down, took their completely wet clothes, and took them back to their apartment. SPOOKY!
