I wonder if I should incorporate this in my class?

I am still preparing away for this class I have to teach, but I did come across this little bit of interpretation, which I classify as the work of a motivated interpreter.

But no MMF. G-d is sensible enough to hate that.

Yeah, and I think that that thing about not taking on a male role would preclude any kind of strap on thing. Or maybe not, if the interpreter in question thinks that's hot.

Actually, though, Maimonides held that the strictures of Lev. 18 and 20 apply only to men.

actually i know quite a few fervently christian girls from conservative areas of the states who don't think anal sex "counts" - and had anal before "classical"!

Yeah, I think that actually, Bill Clinton was genuinely working within a tradition of interpretation when he made the distinction between oral and actually cheating. Jimmy Swaggart, who came out of the same Southern Baptist background made the same distinction.

probably a little of both. i think it's probably the cultural milieu which in turn is based off of some kind of interpretation. but being horny sure helps things along in that direction i'd imagine.

Conversation supposedly overheard in hotel.
"Of course he can marry us, honey, he's the Captain of this elevator."

I wonder if that Captain in Captain & Tennille could marry people.

Good question. I wonder if the Captain in Gilligan's Island ever married anyone. If so, even though it was just a television show, would it still be a legal marriage in California?
