Current Mood: distresseddistressed
I heard from Peter, my bro-in-law; Sam is under the UV lights, like a cute lil french fry guy, which may spawn some kind of nickname. They seem to feel that they caught it before anything happened. This is, however, going to be a long procedure; they test him every 6 hours, starting at midnight. When his levels get down to normal, they take him out from under the lights, but keep him around for 12 hours to see if he stays normal on his own.
Sophie is not going to be pleased that her mom is not going to be around tomorrow. Hopefully she will be OK with me being there instead of a parent when she wakes up.
I think that everything is going to turn out to be alright.

And you know what? The number of people being supportive here is really overwhelming and touching. (sniffle). Thanks!

This seems to be a problem for boys named Sam.

Sounds like the matter is well in hand. My sister was jaundiced at birth as well and she got through it without it a hitch. I'm sure little Sam will pull through like a champ.

There are few feelings as nice as sending a person support. It's up there with eating good gelato and "Farscape" marathons. ;o)

I hope the munchkin is improving.
