Wow, check out this progressive social program in Denmark to provide for the sexual needs of the disabled. Not clear from this if disabled women get the same benefits...

I read an article in The Economist a while back, the gist of which was that if prostitution is too legalized, the government might withhold welfare from women who have not tried all possible avenues of legal employement, including prostitution.

Legalizing prostitution is one of those rare policies that I just can't come up with a stance on... This is a check in the pros column.

I think that much of the exploitation could be removed if it were legal, not to mention the public health benefits to licensing and requiring testing for STDs and such...but that's just me.
