Yesterday evening, Meret made this for me

It is meant to represent my Purim costume, which was the Cedars of Lebanon. I told her that she was a good artist, and she responded that she wasn't an artist. I asked her why she thought she wasn't, and she said that artists have their works exhibited all over the place, and lots of people can see them. I asked if I could put it up on my LJ, so (at least theoretically) people from all over the world could see it, and then she would be as much an artist as anyone. She enthusiastically agreed, so here it is... ART! By an ARTIST!

I think this is beautiful, especially the way Meret has signed her name. It's just as artistic as the piece itself.

And that's from Misty, in Salt Lake City, Utah.

it's lovely!
plus...I think you can determine an artist by their intent. this is symbolic and
some of the best art is probably hidden from the public.
thanks for sharing!

When Meret is famous, I'll be able to brag that I saw one of her earliest pieces!

Great job, Meret!

The fact that this is on the web is her show and tell for tomorrow!
