It caused sleepless nights!

This story is just too good not to share. Or bad. I am not sure. Anyway, a man is suing the city of Bentonville, AR. Why? His sons were apparently severely traumatized, to the tune of $20000, by a lesbian sex manual that they found in the public library. My favorite part of the story is his claim that the sons stumbled across the book while looking for information on military academies. What filing system do libraries in Arkansas use?

Bahahahahaha!! *wipes tears from eyes* Oh save me from the stupid. And btw, I have a theory as to why it caused so many "sleepless nights," but I probably shouldn't mention it mixed company. *bats eyes innocently*

Oh hey, didn't y'all say you had some cinema questions for me?

Well, they were more in the nature of questions about how common it was for non-Jews to use Jewish themes in popular culture.

Huh, now that's in interesting question that I don't think I've ever really thought about.

Allow me to ponder.

p.s. That icon cracks me up...

That's hilarious. If he had actually gotten the money I'd have suggested starting a similar racket.
The stupidity of people never ceases to amaze me. This guy would be the type to sue McDonald's because the coffee's too hot.

Yeah, but I was interested to see it used by the cultural right; where is the personal responsibility and tort reform crowd now?

I am sure that it was especially traumatic when they read that lesbians don't simply roll off and fall asleep. For Joe sixpack, that possibility shatters the natural order of the universe.

at the risk of being really unpopular, i should point out that the lady that got burned by mccy-d's coffee got third degree burns requiring multiple skin grafts. i agree- it's coffee, you should expect it to be hot, however, it does seem like anything past scalding (on to blistering, flesh-eating, and combined with a likely infection, life-threatening) is a little unexpected...

oh- but trauma by sex manual? just funny. perhaps we should all sue the parents for the kids being so sheltered that it traumatized them. the kids really didn't suspect they would find what they did when the spine of the book said "The Whole Lesbian Sex Book?"
