The minority leader of the Connecticut state Senate was arrested last week. Apparently, he wanted someone roughed up, and so he sought the help of a local ‘businessman’ currently being investigated for various racketeering, tax fraud and organized crime charges. OK, fine, but they added insult to injury by charging this guy with "second-degree conspiracy to commit threatening." Conspiracy to commit threatening? Wow. If you are gonna go to jail, you ought to at LEAST do something that SOUNDS like it might have been worth it. That’s just one step above going to jail for third degree having a hissy fit, or involuntary temper tantrum.
