and a question for you.

When they finally do the autopsy, the authorities will cover up the fact that each had a tiny probe recently inserted. Probably the aliens were trying to drop right back from where they had been beamed up, and some doofus simply missed. Lets face it, why should they send their best and brightest just to snag and tag a few more humans.

So, I have been told that the English translation of most Hebrew prayers include "blessed be/is He". If this is the case, what does it mean? Are we blessing Him? Has He blessed Himself? Are we blessed because He exists or has chosen us? Or is this simply some what of saying "It would be really swell if You do what I want? (Or whatever You think is best?)

I think you are acknowledging his Blessedness, hence the passive. It is really for us, to sort of put a marker on our verbal acknowledgement of the divine.
